What we hold,and what we never touch.

COSMIC 6 needs your birth date, birth time and birth place to calculate anything at all. That is the most personal data we hold, so this page says exactly what happens to it.

Who we are

COSMIC 6 is operated by Cosmic 6. For any question about this policy, write to privacy@thecosmic6.com.

What we collect

Account details. Your email address, and a display name if you give one. Passwords are hashed by our authentication provider and are never visible to us. If you sign in with Apple or Google we receive only the identifier and email address those services release to us.

Birth details. The date, time and place of birth you enter, for yourself and for any additional profiles you create. These are used to compute a chart and are stored so you do not have to type them again.

Chart and reading data. The computed chart, the readings generated from it, and any reports you generate.

Ask Thara conversations. The questions you ask and the answers returned.

Purchase state. Which membership you hold, when it renews, and which one-time reports you own. Card numbers never reach us — Apple, Google and Stripe handle payment details directly.

Usage events. A limited, named list of product events (for example: a chart was created, a reading was opened) used to understand which parts of the app are useful. We do not collect a general activity log, and we do not use third-party advertising or tracking SDKs.

Location. If — and only if — you grant permission, your device location is used once to fill in a birthplace field or to time the panchang for where you are. It is not tracked in the background and not stored as a history.

What we do not collect

We do not collect contacts, photos, browsing history, device advertising identifiers, or health data. We do not sell personal data to anyone, and we do not share it for advertising.

Why we process it

To create your account and keep you signed in; to compute charts and produce readings; to answer your questions in Ask Thara; to deliver and restore the memberships and reports you paid for; to send service email you asked for; to keep the service secure; and to comply with law.

Ask Thara and AI processing

Ask Thara sends your question, together with a summary of the chart it is answering about, to a third-party large language model provider so the answer can be generated. That summary contains astrological placements and may contain your first name and birth details. It is not used by us to train any model. Do not put information in a chat message that you would not want processed by a third-party provider.

Who processes data on our behalf

We use a small number of providers, each bound to process data only on our instructions:

• Supabase — authentication and the primary database.
• Google Cloud Run — application hosting and the astrology engine.
• Groq — large language model inference for Ask Thara.
• Apple and Google Play — in-app purchases and subscription state.
• Stripe — payments made through the website only.
• Resend — transactional and lifecycle email.

Where your data goes

Our providers operate infrastructure outside Malaysia, so your data is transferred and stored internationally. We choose providers that offer recognised safeguards for those transfers.

How long we keep it

Account, chart and purchase data are kept for as long as your account exists. Ask Thara conversations are kept so you can return to them, and are deleted with your account. Usage events are retained in aggregate. Records we must keep for tax or accounting purposes are retained for the period the law requires, even after account deletion.

Your rights

You may ask us to give you a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, or stop a particular use of it. Write to privacy@thecosmic6.com and we will respond within 5 working days. You also have the right to complain to the data protection authority in your country.

Deleting your account

You can delete your account and everything in it yourself, from Settings → Your account → Delete my account in the app. It is immediate and it cannot be undone. If you would rather we did it, write to privacy@thecosmic6.com from the address the account uses and we will complete it within 5 working days. Deletion removes your profiles, charts, readings and conversations. It does not cancel a subscription: cancel that in your Apple or Google account settings first, or it will keep renewing.

Children

COSMIC 6 is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has given us data, write to us and we will remove it.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit. Access to production systems is restricted and authenticated. No system is perfectly secure, so we ask you to use a strong, unique password.

This website

https://thecosmic6.com sets no advertising or tracking cookies. Videos embedded from YouTube are served by Google and are subject to Google's own privacy policy once you press play.

Changes

If we change this policy in a way that materially affects you, we will tell you in the app or by email before the change takes effect.
